Days 1-3: Arrive and explore Palawan
Kara's 14-day adventure started with a night in Manila - the capital of the Philippines - with a chance to relax after the flight and spend the evening getting to know the new travel buddies joining you on the group tour.
The following day it's time to head to Palawan on a short flight. Enjoy a leisurely day relaxing by the hotel pool before exploring a UNESCO-listed underground river by boat. Tonight you'll sleep in traditional Filipino style beach bungalows listening to the sound of the ocean outside your door.
Days 4-5: Private beach camp
For the next two days you'll get to experience the local island way of life in the Philippines. After breakfast, join local guides on their boat for 2 days of exploring islands and the surrounding areas of Port Barton.
You'll visit one of four local schools to interact with students and enjoy snorkelling around coral reefs, showering in jungle waterfalls, and exploring tiny islands.
At night get together around the fire at our private beach camp with a feast of grilled fish, pork, rice, vegetables and fruit. In the evening you will sleep in tents directly on the beach in paradise.
Days 6-9: El Nido and Palawan
On day 6 you'll head to El Nido to see why Palawan was named the most beautiful island group in the world and stay at the funkiest hostel in Palawan.
The following day you'll be immersed in unique Filipino culture with a jungle hike, cooking authentic Filipino food, climbing coconut trees, traditional Filipino stick fighting, coconut shaving, learning Filipino dances and children's games, coconut leaf weaving and more.
Day 8 is spent island hopping with plenty of time for snorkelling and relaxation on the boat. Then it's a day in El Nido with a short canopy walk up to the famous cliffs for incredible views, followed by a relaxing massage on the beach.
Days 10-14: Coron Island
Leave Palawan behind for another slice of paradise - Coron Island! Day 10 is a travel day with time to explore Coron town in the evening, followed by a free day to spend at leisure or choose from a range of fun activities.
On day 12 explore some of Coron's top destinations. Explore the Lusong Gunboat Ship Wreck - an underwater haven for snorkellers - during the day and spend the night in Pass Island with a bonfire and sunset cocktails.
The next day you'll continue your adventure on the stunning Coron Island, visiting the vibrant Coral Garden and unwinding at the Maquinit Hot Springs.
On day 14 you say goodbye to your newly-made friends and head home.
