2 Day Uluru Kata Tjuta Rock Tour - Safari Tent [from Ayers Rock]

Day 1

**Day 1: Ayers Rock Airport to Uluru / Ayers Rock** Departing from Ayers Rock/Yulara (Uluru Airport) we join the tour group in Uluru before we head to the Red Centre's indigenous interpretive cultural centre where we have a chance to learn about the cultural, ecological, historical and geological significance of this very special national park. Get up close and personal with Uluru, the colossal monolith, as you embark on a base walk to the Mutitjulu waterhole, discovering sacred rock art sites and ancient creation stories. Explore the remarkable Kantju Gorge, home to Central Australia's highest waterfall and an elders' cave, ending your day with a mesmerizing sunset at Uluru lookout, accompanied by a hearty dinner. **Day 1 Highlights:** - Uluru (Ayers Rock) - Red Centres Aboriginal Interpretive Cultural Centre - Sacred Rock Art Site - Mutitjulu Waterhole, Kuniya Piti (seasonal), Kantju Gorge - Sunset at Uluru lookout **Meals:** Dinner **Camping:** Ayers Rock Coach Campground - Permanent Tents or Bush Swags (communal bathroom facilities). **Driving Distance:** 130km. **Hike Distance:** 2-3 km / 2-3 hours.

Day 2

**Day 2: Uluru National Park to Kata Tjuta ** Rise early and savor a light breakfast as you venture towards a captivating sunrise in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Witness the majestic silhouette of Kata Tjuta, a remarkable sight to behold. Embark on an invigorating hike through the awe-inspiring Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge, marveling at the mighty conglomerate rock formations. Conclude your exploration of Kata Tjuta, and head back to Yulara Airport to either meet your adjoining flight or back to Ayers Rock resort if you have booked an additional night's accommodation at any of the accommodation providers there. Estimated drop-off time around mid-day. Finish in Yulara/Ayers Rock only. **Day 2 Highlights:** - Spectacular Sunrise at Uluru - Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park - Hike the Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge - The Olgas- Kata Tjuta **Meals:** Breakfast, Lunch. **Driving Distance:** 150 km. **Hike Distance:** 2-5 km / 2-4 hours (*weather dependent). _*Autopia Tours reserves the right to alter the route or itinerary schedule during seasonal weather fluctuations and/or during park closures due to traditional landowner ceremonies._
