Activities

Costa Rica is a place where it is easy to enjoy different activities. You can go horseback riding on the beach, join yoga classes, take a SUP tour, rent an ATV or go check out the waterfalls by zipline through the jungle.

Accommodation

The camp is located in a lush garden with a main villa and some smaller houses, with 40 beds in total. With a great vibe and nice lounge and hangout area by the pool and the bar, the camp is ideal for relaxing after an eventful day. Within walking distance to both the beach and the city centre, everything is set for a perfect holiday. In our main villa there are two private rooms with a double bed and ensuite bathroom. We also have our bungalow double which is our most private and biggest room in our garden. All our dorms are 6 bed dorms located in smaller houses in our garden.

Choose between our dorms and double rooms, either in our main villa or in one of our bungalows. At our camp, all the rooms have a rustic design, plenty of light, comfortable beds and modern facilities.

Dorm
Sharing a room is the best way to meet new people, so this option is perfect for solo travellers or friends. All our dorms have comfy bunk beds and ensuite bathrooms and sleeps six. These rooms are ideal for those travelling on a budget.

Double Room
Enjoy a social experience at the camp while still having access to privacy. All our double rooms have air conditioning and ensuite bathrooms.

Twin Room
Our twin rooms are perfect for friends who travel together, but also available to be booked as a single room. Our twins have ensuite bathroom and access to a terrace.

Bungalow Double
This is our most spacious & private room. It’s located in a free-standing bungalow in our garden. The room comes with a proper jungle ambience.

Local transport

This package does NOT include an arrival transfer. The transport to and from surf lessons and activities will be by minibus.

How to get here on your own:

Camp Address
Lapoint surf camp;
Hotel The Place,
200 meters East of Frank’s Place direction Mal Pais center, next to Ritmo Tropical, Mal Pais,
6011 Cobano
Provincia de Puntarenas, Nicoya Peninsula
Costa Rica

By Local Bus
There are also public transport buses going from San Jose to Santa Teresa if you’re traveling on a budget. The price for this service is approx USD 25-30. But keep in mind you will have to get 3 buses and a ferry.

By Plane
The priciest, yet quickest mode of transport from San Jose to the camp is by plane. The closest airport to the camp is Tambor and is serviced by Costa Rica Green Air (https://costaricagreenair.com/en/destinations/).

The taxi ride from the airport to the camp takes about 40 minutes and costs approx $60 (each direction).

If you decide to arrive by plane, please let us know beforehand and we’ll order the taxi for you, as these may be hard to come by at this location. Lastly, if you’re bringing your own surfboard, please note that there is no guarantee that the plane will fit your board(s) on your flight (these are 9 passenger planes) and you may be forced to go back the next day to pick it up.

Meals

The breakfast, which is included in all packages, consists of a delicious menu of local flavours and guest favourites such as cereal, eggs and freshly baked bread served with jams, yoghurt and fresh fruit. A tasty range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes are available for lunch and dinner, all prepared fresh on-site by our very own chefs. Some dinners are included in the package. The camp has a restaurant and bar, and they will offer lunches for purchase, as well.

Naturally, we will happily cater to any dietary requirements you may have.
