Your adventure starts in La Paz, the world's highest located capital. You'll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hostel, where we've arranged a 3-day arrival package for a smooth start to your trip.
On your second day enjoy a trip to the Tiwanaku ruins, located about 1.5 hours from La Paz. The ancient city and culture of Tiwanaku is one of the most important on the American continent as it's believed that the civilisation were even more advanced in pottery, astronomy and math than the neighboring Incas.
Next up is a 15-day group tour with G Adventures.
You'll journey across the surreal landscapes of the Atacama Desert in Chile and the salt flats of Salar de Uyuni, traveling all the way from La Paz to Argentina's capital of Buenos Aires.
Along the way there will be stops in the beautiful colonial city of Sucre in Bolivia and the city of Salta in Northern Argentina where you can try traditional empanadas saltenas and take an optional horse riding trip or head to Cafayate to explore the local vineyards.
Welcome to Argentina's bustling capital, Buenos Aires!
We've included a 3-day stay in the city, which of course means that your accommodation is taken care of. You'll have plenty of time to explore the city independently, but you'll also take part in a guided tour around the main sights to get the most out of your Buenos Aires experience.
And on your final evening you will also get to enjoy a local Tango show with a 3-course dinner and some drinks. Doesn't sound too bad, does it?
After chilling at the beach for a few days, it's time to return to Buenos Aires and join a group tour that will take you all the way to Rio de Janeiro in neighbouring Brazil. You'll be travelling with a group of like-minded travellers, experiencing some of the most amazing nature and history on the way.
First up is an overnight bus from Buenos Aires to the border with Brazil where the magnificent Iguassu Falls are located. You'll have two full days to admire this breathtaking view. Then you'll jump on another overnight bus to the party capital of Rio de Janeiro!
Enjoy a full day tour of the city including a walk through Tijuca Forest, a visit to the famous Christ the Redeemer statue, and a photo stop at the colourful steps Escadaria Selaron, made famous by Snoop Dog in his music video 'Beautiful'.
Your tour comes to an end in Rio. But we've included an extra two nights of hostel accommodation to allow you to explore the city in more depth.
Take the cable car up Sugarloaf Mountain, chill at the famous Copacabana beach or head out to a local samba club to dance the night away.
Once you're partied out, jump on a plane back home to the UK.
