Experience the best of Peru on this flexible itinerary that takes you from Lima to Cusco via the desert oasis of Huacachina, the expansive Lake Titicaca, the Lost Incan City of Machu Picchu and much more!

Go with the flow and set your own pace on this package designed for first-time backpackers and the more independent traveller. Fly to Lima and spend three nights here to explore the city at leisure before setting off on your Peruvian adventure.

You'll be making your way to Cusco, choosing your stops along the way and how long you want to explore. But there are a few must-see destinations that we recommend to help build your itinerary. Head first to Paracas to see the wildlife of the National Reserve before continuing to the desert oasis of Huacachina.

Next up is Nazca where you can see the strange group of pre-Columbian geoglyphs etched into desert sands. Continue to the attractive city of Arequipa to enjoy a traditional Pisco Sour and opt to trek the jaw-dropping Colca Canyon.

Don't miss Puno for a few days visiting the floating reed islands of Lake Titicaca. End your adventure in Cusco with an included 4-day Inca Trail Trek to the iconic ruins of Machu Picchu.

Your travel pass ends in Cusco. But that's not the end of your adventure!

Machu Picchu Trek the Inca Trail

Machu Picchu is one of the 7 New Wonders of the World and no bucket list is complete without the famed Inca Trail Trek to get there!

It's so popular that permits for the trek sell out months in advance, which is why it's going to be one thing that you fix in your schedule, so that you don't miss out. And it's why we've included it in this itinerary.

On your four-day guided tour you'll trek past rambling rivers, ancient ruins, and scenic mountain views with the guidance and support of porters, cooks, and guides hired from local communities. The terrain is rugged and steep but the sense of accomplishment you'll feel is unparalleled once you reach Machu Picchu by sunrise.

At the end of your trek you'll return to Cusco where we recommend spending a few days to recover before bidding adios to Peru and boarding your included return flight home to the UK.
