Your working holiday starts in Auckland. Make your way to your city hostel and after settling in, get to know your new travel buddies over a group welcome dinner. We have arranged for you to receive a SIM card once you arrive in New Zealand, so you'll be well on your way to getting your new life started in the land of the Kiwi.
Rise and shine! Today we’ll cover all essential stuff you need to live and work in New Zealand, including how to find work and set up your tax number. Next you'll enjoy a city tour. You’ll see the main hot spots, get the scoop on where to find the best coffee and food, and where to go out for the night.
Now it's time to spend a few days exploring the beautiful coastline of the North Island. Over the next three days you'll swim at the scenic Whangeri Falls, explore the beautiful beaches of Paihia and cruise around Otehei Bay, spotting dolphins and marvelling at the famous Hole in the Rock on Motukokako Island.
Head back to Auckland where you'll have some time at leisure to explore the city at night.
It's another full day of adventure as you leave the city behind and take the ferry to Devonport, where you'll check out the famous beaches, volcanos, shops and pubs in the area. Then its time for a party! Experience the best of Auckland’s nightlife with a bar crawl led by your group leader and free drinks along the way.
You’re now ready to go off travel and work around New Zealand. As it usually takes a few more weeks before you get a job, we suggest that you spend time travelling instead of just waiting around. For example, you can buy a bus pass and travel around the North Island. Or hire a campervan and explore your own way.
Let us know what appeals to you and we can add that to your itinerary.
