Landing in Bangkok as a fresh 18-year-old from a small village in Berkshire, I knew I’d never look back again (especially with the 5,000 mopeds hurtling towards me!). From that moment on, I had officially caught the travel bug. Road tripping the UK or island hopping in Fiji, I have met the most incredible people, learned so much about myself and made unforgettable memories that I plan to bore my future grandkids with for decades!
I’ve now been fortunate enough to visit over 50 countries, my longest trip being a year-long adventure to South and Central America where I spent time improving my Spanish and volunteering as a volcano hiking guide in Nicaragua. My volunteering was a chance to dive deeper into the “real Nicaragua”, climb some crazy peaks and make friendships I’ll treasure for a lifetime.
My travel highlights
- Hiking to Roy’s peak in New Zealand with my sister
- Observing a turtle lay her eggs on a Costa Rican beach
- Exploring Machu Picchu in Peru
- Night scuba diving in Mexico
- Trekking to Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal
- Volcano Boarding down Cerro Negro in Nicaragua
- Snorkelling with Manta Rays in Fiji
Where would you love to go next?
My dream trip is to study yoga in India, exploring its vibrant culture and appreciating its varied cuisine, then surf the crystal-clear waters of Sri Lanka and finally return to my favourite country, Nepal, to hike to Everest basecamp.
