With this van you get all you need for travelling at your own pace through Australia! The campervan is suitable for 4 people and has two double beds, a shower, toilet and kitchen on board. It is ideal for 2 young couples, a family or a group of 4 friends.
Please note. The high season for campervan rental in Australia runs from October to March. The earlier you book, the better prices. When availability goes down, the campervans become more expensive. Don't wait too long to book!
The front cabin of the Double Up seats 2 people while the remaining two passengers are seated in the living space. It's a large diesel unit with automatic transmission. If you are not familiar with the steering wheel to the right and driving in the left side of the road, don't worry, it will only take you a short while to get comfortable.
This Mighty Double Up campervan is equipped with seat belts for 4 people. Inside the campervan there are 2 double beds, one above the drivers section (cab) and the other double bed in the rear. The rear bed can be stored during the day and a table pops up. Under the bunks you'll find enough space to store your luggage etc. The Mighty Double Up campervan has much more interior headroom (2 metres) than the compact campervans. Even tall people can easily stand up inside this model.
Supplied in the camper you will find linen and bedding, kitchen essentials including crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils plus all the general living gear you’ll need.
Don’t forget to pack soft bags instead of a suitcase – much easier to store in the campervan.
The kitchen, shower and toilet is located in the center of the Mighty Double Up campervan. The kitchen stove has four burners and there is also a microwave oven which is quite convenient when you just need to heat or re-heat your food (requires power hook-up). The 80L fridge/freezer holds your groceries cold while on the road.
The bathroom has a toilet and even a shower, which means you can freshen up, even though you are located in a city parking lot or at an empty beach.
There are eight Mighty rental centres in Australia: Alice Springs / Adelaide / Melbourne / Sydney / Brisbane / Cairns / Darwin / Perth.
It is possible to book one-way rentals between all the Mighty rental centers. A one-way rental fee applies (AUD $165-300).
Drivers must be 21 years of age or over to rent and drive this campervan.
The rental price varies according to demand and season. You'll get the lowest price if you book your Double Up campervan well in advance when availability is high. It's also cheaper to travel during low season. On the other hand, if you book close to your departure date or book your camper for high season, you'll pay more. It's just like flight tickets!
