The Cascade campervan model is always guaranteed to be less than 2½ years old.
Please note. The high season for campervan rental in New Zealand runs from mid November to late February. The earlier you book, the cheaper. As availability goes down, the campervans become more expensive. So don't wait too long to book your New Zealand adventure!
The drivers cabin of the Cascade seats 2 people and the remaining passengers are seated in the back. It's a full sized turbo diesel unit with an automatic transmission.
An innovative rear bed design sees two double beds comfortably located at the rear of the vehicle. The rear lounge by day is your ultimate room with a view, and at night converts into a double bed, with the second bed lowered from the ceiling to accommodate two more. In the morning, raise the top bed, keeping it made up for the next night's sleep!
Supplied in the camper you will find linen and bedding, kitchen essentials including crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils plus general living gear you’ll need.
Don’t forget to pack soft bags instead of a suitcase – much easier to store in the campervan.
The kitchen, shower and toilet is located in the center of the Cascade campervan. The kitchen stove has four burners and there is also a microwave oven which is quite convenient when you just need to heat or re-heat your food (requires power hook-up). The fridge/freezer holds your groceries cold while on the road.
The on-board bathroom has a toilet and even a shower, so you can freshen up on the go.
There are three Maui rental centres in New Zealand: Auckland / Christchurch / Queenstown.
It is possible to book one-way rentals between all the Maui rental centres. A one-way rental fee applies (NZD $100-400).
Drivers must be 21 years of age or over to rent and drive this campervan.
The rental price varies according to demand and season. You'll get the lowest price if you book your Ultima well in advance when availability is high. It's also cheaper to travel during low season. On the other hand, if you book close to your departure date or book your camper for high season, you'll pay more. It's just like flight tickets!
