After breakfast, it's time for at visit to Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Sigiriya is a fortress complex of a ruined palace a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a treasured historical monument in Sri Lanka and probably the most visited tourist destination, famous for its frescoes. Another fascinating detail is its mirror wall. Every step from the entrance to the top is a marvel on its own, and the interesting surroundings makes the tedious climb to the top easy. Afterwards, return to the hotel, and in the evening, we will go on a safari at Minneriya National Park. Minneriya National Park is a dry season feeding ground for the elephant population. Sri Lankan leopard and Sloth bear that are rare and endangered species also inhabit this area. The park was declared a wildlife sanctuary in order to protect the watershed of Minneriya tank and the wildlife of the surrounding area. The tank is historically important for the country as it was built by King Mahasen in the 3rd century AD. Return to the hotel in the evening and relax.

After breakfast transfer to Kandy. Enroute, visit the Dambulla cave Temple. Dambulla is a popular tourist destination in Sri Lanka. The popular cave temple complex in Dambulla dated to the 2nd century BC is declared as a world heritage site by UNESCO. There are over 80 caves in Dambulla, some of which are used for meditation by monks. The Famous Rock temple has five separate caves containing 153 magnificent Buddha statues, 3 statues of Sri Lankan monarchs and 4 Hindu deities. The Iron wood Forest (Namal Uyana) the ancient garden with a wide variety of plants built in the 10th century and Rose Quarts Mountain range which is 500 million years old cannot be missed while in Dambulla. On the way, visit a spice garden in Matale, and enjoy a free head massage. You will visit Aluvihare temple, a sacred Buddhist temple, in the afternoon. Surrounded by hills, the Aluvihara cave temple is situated 30 km north of Kandy on the Matale-Dambulla road. Continue to Kandy and check-in at the hotel.

After breakfast, visit the temple of tooth relic during “Thewawa ceremony “ and do a city tour of Kandy. Kandy the popular charming hill capital of Sri Lanka is surrounded by hills, valleys, rivers, lakes and waterfalls. It is the cultural center of the island and a UNESCO heritage city. The sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha is enshrined at the Dalada Maligawa, the temple of the tooth. While in Kandy, a visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens is a must where you can see around 4000 species of plants. The arts and crafts center in Kandy, the main Buddhist monasteries Malwatta and Asgiriya Monasteries are places that must be visited. Kandy is a great place for souvenir shopping and to learn about its rich culture and history. After the city tour, you will proceed to Kitulagala to enjoy a White-Water Rafting session. This thrilling adventure on the white-water section of the Kelani River is suitable for amateurs as well as professionals alike. During the run, you will experience the thrill of shooting rapids and euphoria of making it through. The river's clear water is born in the heart of the peak wilderness reserve and tumbles through a rocky gorge just above Kithulgala. As the river widens, you will pass the scenic location used in the film "Bridge over the River Kwai". This is also a good place to jump in for a refreshing swim. On a clear day, you can even dive to see the remains of the actual bridge and the carriages used for the film (only for experienced divers with proper equipment).

After breakfast, visit Belilena caves by Bicycles. Belilena is a famous large cave in Sri Lanka. It is located 8km from the town of Kitulgala. It holds evidence of a lost generation of Sri Lankans some 12,000 years old; at this time the cave was occupied by Balangoda Man, described as Homo sapiens Balangodensis by Paul E. P. Deraniyagala, who found ten skeletons of these people. They lived 2000 feet above sea level. It is believed they lived than 32,000 years ago. Proceed to Thalpe and check-in at hotel.
